The city of Watertown Park and Recreation Department offers a youth soccer program for all area youth in kindergarten through fourth grade. The program is micro-soccer which is soccer downsized to smaller fields and smaller sized teams. This gives each player more playing time and more touches on the ball. Competition is kept to an absolute minimum and no scores are kept of the games as player development is the main focus. Coaching is all done by community volunteers and there is always a need for them, if you are interested. There are two seasons, a fall and a spring. Fall registration takes place starting in mid-June and last till about mid-July. Fall play begins the weekend after Labor Day and is six weeks long. Spring soccer registration takes place the month of February with play starting the end of March and lasting six weeks as well. It is recommended to register early to avoid late fees.
